  Donsoft Entertainment is a brazilian game development, design, publishing and distribution company. Independent since it´s foundation, in 2001, is focused on the production of all plataforms games about the brazilian Culture and Folklore. As a publisher and distributor, the company works with national and international games about many subjects.

  - Mission:

  To produce, publish and distribute high quality games, about all subjects and that deliveries positive messages for players of all ages.

  - History:

   The original idea was created in 1993, in Brazil, Petrópolis-RJ city, when a young computer programmer called André Cariús de Oliveira, at the age of 13, invited a small group of friends to develop a 2D Adventure game based on a script created by him. After three years of development the first techdemo was completed, but because of the team´s and André´s small business experience until there, the game have never been published.
   After years of many attempts with differente teams, much technical and administrative learnings, and the creation of an independent business model; Donsoft Entertainment was officially founded on 2001, becoming a Technical and Design service provider for many companies for almost two years.
   In 2003, new partners were invited by André to join the company. Between them, the Arts & Design Director - Guilherme Xavier; The Scientific and Cultural Director - Jorge Ricardo Valardan Domingos; and the Technical Director and Donsoft´s Vice-President - Alexandre Bandeira. It was on that moment that the company´s main board decided to follow a different path and change from technical and design services provided to national and international companies to the production of independent games about the brazilian Culture and Folklore.
   After choosing Capoeira as it´s first subject of research, the company worked hard from 2003 to 2009 deeply researching Capoeira, it´s legends, it´s history, it´s technique and released it´s first product, the PC game Capoeira Legends: Path to Freedom. The game was splited in three chapters and since the release of the first chapter the company has become a reference on the Latin America game market and the pioneer in the specialization with games about the brazilian Culture and Folklore.
   Now, the company is working on the next chapters of Capoeira Legends: Path to Freedom for PC and is also working on projects for other plataforms.
   As a publisher and distributor, the company works publishing national and international titles and it has the expertise on the physical and on-line games distribution for almost all countries.
